To provide engineering and technical services in support of production and manufacturing efforts. This position must also support all machine/machining operations by troubleshooting machines, making recommendations for repairs, and overseeing repairs, installations and modifications, ordering new tooling, replacement parts and guarding, etc. in a timely manner.
【Essential Duties】
- Oversees and coordinates activities involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation and repair of mechanical, electromechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, etc. systems.
- Activities may involve but are not limited to mechanical presses, PLC’s, machine tooling, material handling systems, industrial production equipment, robotics used in manufacturing, etc.
- Uses computer aided design (CAD) for mechanical design, drawing and detailed reviewing.

【Qualifications】
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Masters in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- Requires specialized understanding of heat transfer, hydraulics, pneumatics, electromechanical, controls and instrumentation, robotics, tooling, materials and fluid mechanics, etc.
- Must have a minimum of 2 to 3 years mechanical engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully interact with all levels and functions of the organization.
- Must possess excellent cross-cultural awareness and communications skills appropriate to a Japanese-owned company.
- Must have strong mechanical interest and aptitude, excellent mathematical skills, and the ability to read drawings, prints and schematics.
- Requires attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
